  • Resolving Credentialing Concerns for Practitioners Reentering Practice
    Tuesday, October 22, 2019
    10:15–11:45 AM
    • Returning to practice or reengaging in specific practice areas can be a daunting process, both for the practitioner and for the hospitals where they seek to practice. MSPs struggle with how to objectively and consistently navigate the requirements of privileging and credentialing processes, while at the same time ensuring that patients are safe and well cared for as these practitioners regain their clinical skills. This session will include an overview of national reentry trends, guidance on reentry policies to ensure you have appropriate processes in place, review of approaches to facilitate an effective and safe transition onto the clinical staff, methods for monitoring to meet focused practice evaluation expectations, and presentation of case studies.
    • Speakers: Sally Pelletier, CPMSM, CPCS and Beth Korinek, CEO of Center for Personalized Education for Physicians
  • Verify and Comply: CMS, JC, NCQA, HFAP, and DNV Credentialing Standards Compared and Contrasted

    • Compliance with multiple regulatory and accreditation standards is mandatory for healthcare organizations.  However, it is becoming increasingly challenging to understand the similarities and differences in requirements.  This session compares and contrasts the specific standards for the five agencies in a manner that is unlike any other.  Join us to receive an informative and concise understanding of accreditation requirements related to credentialing.

  • Telemedicine Credentialing and Privileging by Proxy
    Wednesday, October 23, 2019
    10:30 AM – 12 PM
    • The delivery of healthcare is ever changing, and as more and more organizations continue to face challenges in recruiting for sub-specialties or look to expand services, they increasingly view telemedicine as the solution. How does an increase in telemedicine affect the credentialing and privileging process? How is it possible to assure the competency of practitioners who never grace your hallways? During this session, we will explore how to develop a telemedicine process that effectively addresses the four steps of credentialing by embracing the flexibility provided by the regulators and accreditors; working smarter, not harder.
